The LCLGRPB operates a Small Business Loan Fund to assist locally owned and operated businesses with start-up and expansion costs with the goal of revitalizing communities, downtown areas, and economic districts or to provide a needed service for a community.
Loan area available to for-profit businesses that are physically located within Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Hamilton, Jefferson, Lewis, St. Lawrence, Warren, and Washington Counties of New York State.
Applicants must demonstrate how their project meets the economic development needs of the region. Projects are then evaluated based on community need, local capacity, project impact and readiness. Applications are processed on a first-come, first served basis and are subject to availability of loan funds.
All loan applications are presented to the LCLGRPB Loan Administrative Committee for review. Applicants are required to attend the review meeting to discuss their application with the Committee.
